The first wedding photoshoot
Thanks to the lovely May and Matt, I was able to try out first hand what it would be like to be the photographer at a wedding. Now luckily, I was not the only one with a good camera there, so between all us amateurs the happy couple now has a lot of photos to choose from to remember the special day.
So I took my camera (cropped frame body) with the 35 mm 1.8 lens, and the 28-300 3.5-5.6 lens, for both portraits and close-ups on special moments during the evening. Granted, a 1.4 or a prime lens with more zoom would have also been useful, but I am building up my base gradually and I think the gear worked fairly well for the occasion. One thing I can say for sure: it has been a great learning opportunity, and I hope I will quickly learn from my mistakes :D
And the best part of it.. I had loads of fun doing it!
